Residents For Responders is proud to recognize Sergeant Trent Wood as our Officer of the Quarter in appreciation of his outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication, and nearly two decades of service in law enforcement.

Sgt. Wood has devoted more than 19 years to serving and protecting others, including 17 years with the Spring Valley Village Police Department. For the past 10 years, he has served as a Patrol Sergeant, providing steady leadership, mentoring fellow officers, and helping ensure the safety and security of the Spring Valley Village community.

A Houston-area resident of more than 55 years, Sgt. Wood has dedicated his career to serving the community he proudly calls home. His commitment to professionalism, integrity, and public service has earned the respect of both his fellow officers and the residents he serves.

While his career in law enforcement is one of service, his greatest pride is his family. Trent is the proud father of his son, Hunter, who has followed in his footsteps by pursuing a career in law enforcement. He and his wife, Jane, have been happily married for more than seven years and have built a wonderful blended family that includes four stepchildren and three grandchildren, all of whom hold a special place in their hearts.

Whether leading officers on patrol or spending time with his family, Sgt. Wood exemplifies the values of integrity, dedication, and compassion. Residents For Responders is honored to recognize Sgt.
